This is a really nice bread baking book and especially for beginners. The recipes, techniques and tips are very clear and the steps are well explained. The pictures are great and helpful to know what the finished product should look like.
What I really liked about this book was the range of recipes it covers. Of course it has the traditional breads, including the sourdough which is not so easy to get into but well explained here. But it also has quite a few no-knead breads, gluten free breads, biscuits and crackers. It is a really nice way to get started and to experiment different techniques and styles of breads. The recipes do not rely on the use of too much equipment and this is also a plus for beginner bakers as they can explore a lot before deciding what more advanced equipment they might like to add to their kitchen.
There are many books about baking bread but I think this one is definitely a good one for those who like to get started successfully and enjoy a great variety of flavours.
