The Hidden Beach (Karen Swan)

Bell works as a nanny for a family that seems absolutely perfect. One day, she picks up the phone and is asked by a clinic to pass a message to the mother, Hanna: Hanna’s husband is awake. But that’s not Max, the husband who has just walked out of the door that morning. Bell discovers what lies behind the story of this perfect family and finds herself involved in picking up the pieces. I enjoyed the story and the characters in this book. The atmosphere of the Swedish islands where the family goes on holidays is really magical and the writing really transports us there. A very pleasant summer read.
